MANNA CHRISTIAN STORES is 100% New Zealand owned and operated, and is part of the BIBLE SOCIETY NEW ZEALAND GROUP. Manna’s Head Office is in Auckland and we operate through 14 stores nationwide.
Our mission is to help make the Bible accessible to everyone and encourage interaction with it.
Manna’s story began in 1972 in Invercargill. Since then, we have grown to 14 stores nationwide. Fundamental to all that we do is the understanding that operating bookshops is first and foremost a ministry. Our goal is to partner with churches and the local Christian community to provide quality resources that serve to grow God’s Kingdom.
In 2017, Manna was acquired by Bible Society New Zealand. Since 1846, Bible Society has been working in New Zealand to help make the Bible accessible to everyone through translation, publication and distribution, and to encourage interaction with it. Bible Society and Manna form a natural partnership in this important task.
Bible Society New Zealand celebrated it’s 175th anniversary in 2021.
